December 22nd 2009 - Presentation to Aides of Geriatric WardAIDES OF GERIATRIC WARD RECEIVE CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM DIGICEL
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, - Tuesday 22nd December 2009: The Aides of the Grand Turk Hospital were given an early Christmas gift from Digicel when they were delivered handsets for Christmas.
The Geriatric Aides who serve the needs of the elderly of the TCI Community received a visit from Digicel Head of Marketing, Ava-Dayne Kerr who delivered the handsets for the staff, wishing them a happy holiday season and expressing appreciation for the service they provide to the elderly among us who cannot adequately care for themselves.
She commented, “The Christmas season is when we reflect on the ultimate gift given to us and seek to share with others something worthwhile. Digicel appreciates the service rendered by persons who live a life of service and is proud to give back to those individuals in tangible ways”.
Nurse Icelyn Marsh, Acting Geriatric Supervisor says the Geriatric Ward is always grateful to Digicel for the acts of kindness showed to the patients and Aides of the Geriatric ward over the years. She went on to say, “Any gesture large or small goes a far way in showing appreciation for the work we do in caring for others.”
The Geriatric ward of the Grand Turk hospital presently has 12 aides and cares for 11 patients.
