Digicel brings cheer to the Geriatric Ward in Grand Turk

 

(December 7, 2011 – Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands) Digicel is spreading the holiday cheer to everyone, from the youngest to the oldest in our communities. Employees of the Telecommunications company visited the Grand Turk Geriatric ward on Friday, December 2 to deliver gifts to the 19 patients cared for at the unit.

The Digicel team was in the nation’s capital for the Grand Turk customer appreciation day. The geriatric ward visit has become an annual part of Digicel’s calendar of events and one that employees look forward to.

 

Digicel CEO, E. Jay Saunders says, “We at Digicel believe that it is important to show love and compassion to those in our communities all year round but at Christmas time we go the extra mile. We have made it our initiative to give back to those persons whom have given so much to us with their years of service. The smiles on the faces we receive when we visit the geriatric ward is our gift in return. We pledge to continue this initiative for many more years.”
